Minor damage has been reported in Mexico's northern Baja California after a magnitude-7.2 earthquake that was felt in Southern California, Arizona and Nevada.

The largest earthquake in the region in nearly 18 years struck at 3:40 p.m. Sunday more than 100 miles southeast of San Diego. There is yet to be any further details on the matter.

Obviously I am not referring to california as an actual country.

Yes, California is constantly receiving earthquakes, but nearly all of them are so small that they cannot be felt, even near the epicenter.
