A day at Kinder Garten

In Kindergarten we went on a field trip and we were told not to bring food back from our lunch. But I couldn't finish my little bag of chips so the room parent put them in my pocket and said to take them back with me. She knew we weren't supposed to, but she also knew we were poor. I got hungry when we got back to the class and got in trouble for bringing the chips back because another student told on me.

That was nasty of that kid who told on you ☹️

The teacher asked "Whose book?" and I quickly stood up and said "I book" That was an achievement for me - standing up boldly and answering. Yes I was just learning the English language.

What's your story?
That’s a cute memory.

Children can be so cruel.

Believe it or not, I did not have a pre-schooling. I go straight to grade 1 at the age of six.
