Do you have one? Do you like them? Can you understand them? Discuss here...

I'm told I have a Southern accent. I can't hear it. I love to hear folks with British, Scottish, or Australian accents....Very sexy...

Yep, southern Alabamian accent. I like a lot of different accents, makes discussions much more interesting. We have a German girl in our class who recently move to the states this year and she has a neat accent. I've always thought accents were cool. I feel bad for her, I always ask her to talk lol

Typo.. I rarely ever type the word accent, causing me to type accident.

Accidents make great first impressions though; If they like you they'll help you up, if they don't, they'll ask you if you're okay. (Assuming you fell down or something)

I have a really bad southern accent, but not as bad as some of my friends. I can't really tell unless I hear myself on a recording or something, but some words I can tell.

I don't think I have an accent, but when I first moved here (Ohio) from the south everyone said I did, although I never noticed it. Here there is an accent, I noted though not very obvious as well. It's funny though because now whenever I do go back down south to visit family or for vacation I switch, so I notice the difference in the accents of north and south. I tend to talk that way for a while afterward too. I agree with you Princess, I find all of those accents sexy plus Irish, Japanese and German. In general, I find all accents sexy, those mentioned before are just some of my favourites.

Ditto. The first time I heard myself on tape, I was sooo embarrassed. I couldn't believe I sounded like that. (move over Tammy Wynette and Loretta Lynn.....

I don't know what you're talking a-boot. I don't have a Canadian accent, eh?..

In all seriousness, everyone has an accent depending on where you're from you just don't notice until you go anywhere else.

I personally love British accents!

Contrary to what you might think, as a californian, I dont end every sentence with 'dude' and say everything is 'gnarly'

I used to live with an english person (my friends mom, i rented a room from her).. I caught on to her brittish slang soon enough.. However I dont think their accents are cool.

This is confusing, so close your eyes for the next few lines:

Americans say I have a British accent.

Brits say I have an Australian accent with a bit of a 'British tone.'

Finns say I sound like a dipshit. Which is fair enough.

Australians say I sound American, more specifically, like a valley girl.

One day when I can be bothered I'll record myself and you can be the judge.

I love UK accents. Cockney English is so gorgeous. My best friend is a Brit and he likes to talk, we make a good combination. Welsh accents are hard to understand but they sound really musical.

Well i have the posh side of the British accent (probably just under James Bond), because i come from the south which have the poshest accents. Not keen on the cockney or geordie accents. I can do an Irish accent pretty well apparently. I love the Australian accents.

One time, I went to North Carolina with my school (Beta national convention for those of you who care). We went to a water park, and the guys at the stand where we got our food and drink were getting us to say Sprite and I could really tell how bad of an accent I have.

A James Bond type accent? Which one? Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Pierce Brosnan, Timothy Dalton or what's his name--the blonde guy....

Well not Sean Connery as he is Scottish. Im probably more a Daniel Craig sort.

Oh, well--Daniel Craig as opposed to Sean Connery--ya can't have everything, I guess.

I have the typical Australian (Bogan) accent, people always laugh at me because I am the most Bogan in my class

No, true Australians (Meat Pies and all, thongs, basically what people think of Australians.) are Bogans.
