Admitting vulnerability, admitting weakness, admitting being scared, daunted by grief, daunted by depression. These admissions are perceived as wrong in our society, or at least in my perception of our society. AA and other similar groups are "anonymous" because there is stigma. Conversely, we don't know (or think we don't know) how to react to people in these situations. I suspect most of us think "I don't know what to say at a funeral". In other situations, people seem quick to respond with "get over it".
I am vulnerable, weak, scared and suffer depression. Maybe that's what brought me here.
If you are having an issue, I hope I can be strong for you, until you can be strong for yourself. I shout out to those of you who are able to open up, and those that are not able. I am not a therapist, and should not be mistaken for one. I am only a fellow traveler.
