if they keep lowering the weight of the baggage allowance, and charging for the weight of bags, then why not charge those who weigh more and take up more seating space.

More weight means more fuel spent, it's not a strange idea.

It keeps saying weight and space. Whether or not they'll stick to that would be a different matter I suppose.
