Does anyone else use airplane mode when not on an actual plane? And if so, have you ever used it to cut off a call without them finding out you cut it?

I've never used airplane mode.

Interesting advice: Why you should put your phone on airplane mode at night:

Cell phones pump out electromagnetic radiation whenever they're on - which means sleeping with one nearby boosts your exposure all night long. What to do? Put the phone on "airplane mode" (which shuts down the transceiver) or turn it off.

What do think?

The radiation off of cell phones is non-ionizing, and it’s really weak, so you can’t get cancer from them regardless. Not all radiation causes cancer or health defects, so you’re just putting your phone on airplane mode for literally no reason.

Even if you turn off airplane mode, you’re still bombarded with radio and cell signals, even if you don’t have a radio or phone turned on. That’s just how broadcast signals work.

If you’re that concerned about radiation from radio or cellphones, you’d have to put a faraday cage around your house.

I'm not concerned. It was just an article that I read and shared. I thought it was stupid advice but I wanted to see what others thought.

The sad thing is that many people believe that, same thing with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
