Yet another advert has been released starring the all new (and stupid) Amazon Kindle.

To those that don't know what it is, it's basically an electronic device that allows you to read books.

The thing is though, the advert shows different people in different places reading a wall of text.

Sure it's great, you can have a collection of books on it, but get this, it costs £111! You can buy a book

online or in real life (the actual paper book) for a couple of pounds (British money...).

What is the point, how is this even remotely a good thing to have? What's you view point?

Well, it's lighter, takes less space, emits light and, if the prices of books for this are lower, is an investment.

I guess. I haven't tried one though.

Light, dont have to hold pages open, can have a bunch of books in one place.

Plus you can pirate ebooks, so $$$ saver (if you have no morals)

If you're an avid book reader that reads a lot, it's better in the long run. The books are usually much cheaper and you could easily get to the point where you save money.

Plus, like said above, you have your entire library wherever you go.

But then you have to go to the book store (and they might not even have the book you want in stock) or order it online and wait for it to be delivered. You could be waiting for up to a week just for a book. If you have a Kindle, you can buy it, download it and be reading it within a couple of hours (or however long the books take to download).

Also, with paper books when you're finished they most likely get shoved in a cupboard and end up in a giant pile of books. With something like a Kindle, you don't have any of that.

I don't have one because I don't read that often, but for people that do read every day or night I can see that they're a big advantage.
