Today, a fellow student returned to school today, after having been out for a week and a half. I first saw her and began to ask where she had been, when I was stopped and pulled to the side by her friend. She explained to me that she wouldn't remember me and that she had fallen down a flight of stairs and had a concussion and experienced Amnesia.

Really sad, never really knew her too well, but still concerned since she is in one of my classes. Today at school she was a new student, staying to herself. Our teacher had to explain to her what the class was about.

The human brain sure is interesting.

Most definitely. She remembers how to do tasks (walk, write, read), but lacks knowledge of her classmates.

Almost unreal to be honest.

Wow. you know that's got to be scary for her. Imagine not having a past--unreal.....

Poor girl, that would be so awful! It's bad enough when you drink too much and can't remember what happened the night before!

People could tell her anything, because she wouldn't know any different.

Say she couldn't remember her family or anything--you'd just be living with a bunch of strangers--no past, no nothing--I can't think of anything worse.
