I went down to London yesterday for a different purpose than usual, to attempt some Street Photography. As many of you guys know I mostly do landscape/cityscape imagery and I wanted to try something different.

For those who are unfamiliar with Street Photography check this link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Street_photography

These are absolutely amazing pictures!

Each one makes you wonder what's happening and what are these people thinking.

Just a question: Do you need permission to photograph and then post the pictures from these people?

No permission at all. The idea is to be inconspicuous though - don't really wanna be noticed. There is no law against photographing anything in a public place as far as I know, so that includes people, buildings, cars etc

I'm thinking about that man who saw his picture on the album cover of Abbey Road. He sued saying he didn't give permission for his photo to be used. I'll have to try and find that whole article and then post the link back in here. I had thought you needed permission to post pictures of people before posting them on the internet. For example that man smoking the pipe. What if he had told his wife he no longer smokes and she were to see this picture? Might just be here in the US you need this type of consent.
