Taking vitamins orally might soon fall out of favor as more Americans opt to drip them straight into their veins.

More exhausted people are heading to private clinics and getting hooked up to a vitamin I.V. for their energy-boosting cocktail infusion.

The technique was fueled, in part, by a photo that pop star Rihanna tweeted last month with her arm hooked up to an intravenous drip. Turns out she was enjoying the so-called party-girl drip.

Eww no thanks. Rather eat my chewy vitamins.

For some reason I expect there to be health concerns...

I'm with you there o.o

With the I.V you get a higher concentration than the oral supplement and the fluid in the I.V hydrates your veins leaving you better refreshed. With virtually every treatment there will be health concerns (over-dosage, allergic reactions, etc.) So, in the case of people who have cancer or are anemic, the benefit outweighs the risk.

Certainly, but with everyone using it just because they can the benefits might not outweigh the risks

In any case it seems like a horrible waste of time and money...
