if you have new forum announcements or you have to say something to your board, do you make it a short announcement or a long one? Of course it's going to have to be an announcement worth reading, so . . .

I make it long enough to get the point across. If the information I want to convey can be said in a couple sentences, then so be it.

Highly depends on the topic being discussed, if it were something simple like a moderator being appointed than I will keep it short and sweet, maybe with a brief explanation as to why I made my decision however, if it is addressing something more important, perhaps we are scheduling a postathon like event, than I will of course explain the rules, the prizes and will try and be as clear as possible.
