Anybody try any Ramps (wild onion) this past season?

I was able to get my hands on one bunch & cook them on a pizza. They are well known in West Virginia. Wish I didn't wait so long to try them. I'm not as young as I used to be.

We used to buy them at a farmer's market in Dover. Haven't seen any around here.

They've got a slightly different flavor than domestic green onions, and once in awhile you'll get some that are REALLY powerful.

I think I'm going to call the grocer ahead of time next year to have a good size bunch set aside so that they can order more. The ones I got were very fresh & succulent.
