Do you think the use of profanity is actually bad? Is it inappropriate? Whats wrong with saying bad words?

Not bad, just distasteful at times. They have a place in our language like any other words

I think it's always good to increase your vocabulary to include more "socially acceptable" words; we often get stuck in a rut with bad words to the point of their loosing the desired shock value over time. :D

How's that for a 'run-on' sentence?

They don't bother me and I think it is hilarious when little kids say bad words.

That being said I hardly ever use bad words in my everyday speaking.

I don't use them very often myself, because they're just not necessary most of the time (and besides, not using them much makes the few times when I do use them more impactful).

Basically, I'm not a fan of the F-bomb... but I'm not above the odd precision F-strike :P .

I remember when Will Smith won a Grammy award, he claimed he succeeded without swearing at all. He meant it as an insult toward the rappers who did. In "The Real Slim Shady", Eminem had a curse-laden reply to that. Another time, Eminem exclaimed his stance on the matter, and I think what he said is appropriate - I respect your right to an opinion, but not everyone is as happy as you are. Everything isn't bees and flowers, and sometimes the right situation calls for that added oomph.
