Born and bred as a nerd. I'm still a geek.

well i dont dress up like a nerd i always been fan of videos games, movies, tv shows, collecting funko pops and marvel figurines and marvel comics and i have a gaming room, that doesnt mean that im a nerd. people are different and its not good to call someone a nerd

In spite of working in IT, I am probably less "nerd" than I used to be. Depending on what you mean by "nerd" I guess. I suppose writing horror and fantasy while listening to niche subgenres of heavy metal is still nerd-y. I don't really look the part, though, since losing my glasses (eye surgery to remove cataracts also fixed my myopia).

I don't consider myself to be

I actually never want to get to that point either, where I'm so obsessed with something it's all I think about.

I call myself a nerd :P I don’t mean it as an insult, and calling ppl nerds is my way of celebrating difference 🥳

I'm probably pretty nerdy about The X-Files and Star Wars.

I am more of a geek than a nerd, Star Trek and Star Wars are my favorite sci-fi franchises, and I am into tech, gaming, anime, and other geeky things lol but I have never seen the word nerd as an insult just means we are smarter then the kids that bullied us in school lol
I feel that some words are so stigmatised and using the word to describe ourselves more can help remove the taboo feeling. Those who don’t know me will naturally get offended if they are used to it being used as an insult or have been bullied about it… they see it as a negative thing, ah well.
