Haven't really had an argument. But I was the neutral mediator in the midst of a strong argument on a defunct forum back in 2013.

I haven't argued on a forum, I try to be civil and keep the peace. However, If I do have a problem with someone I take it up with them directly via PM.

Not really sure how to describe it. I mean, what's there to describe? Aren't all Internet arguments basically the same?

It was well under way to get out of hand since the other guy decided to make it personal, despite my best attempts to keep it civil.

How did it end? Did staff get involved?

The staff got involved. And that staff was me. I gave him a public warning and closed the thread, since he was hellbent on winning by any means necessary.

I got into an argument. The member was an ass hole that took things out of context and got banned for 2 weeks because he resorted to immature name calling for no apparent reasons. He got banned for 2 weeks and never came back.

Never, I learned not to argue with idiots. Lately people coming out of the gate are of the mind that their opinion on topics is factual and right and they will resort to attacking any difference of opinion so why even bother with that? I can say that I have witnessed plenty of arguments elsewhere. People attack one another with staff intervening well after the fact.
