In answer to a question from a user on another forum (which has recently ceased operation), I've begun work on another Mystery Series article on the general subject of Atlantis.

Along the way we go from Plato to Edgar Casey, we visit the oldest flush toliet in the world, and dive under the Indian Ocean to look at a city once ruled by Krishna.

So.... before I finish the thing....

What do you think about Atlantis?

Plato also refers to a trireme being used in Atlantis. How could this type of ship be used thousands of years BEFORE it was historically recorded?

If Plato was telling the truth, then where is the physical evidence of Atlantis?

I say Atlantis is nothing more than a myth.

There is indeed plenty of evidence of lost civilizations...

Look, History is pretty much clueless about most things before 12,960 years ago (half precession macro cycle) which is known as pre-History.

Either case, Atlantis itself (the name) could be a myth but there is plenty of evidence of lost civilizations in pre-History, but what they were actually called is not necessarily known by name.

That's a given but this thread is about Atlantis. Where is the evidence that Atlantis even existed?

Well, there has yet to be an agreement on the exact location of where Atlantis was. Some say that it was in the Mediteranian and others say that it was in the Atlantic...

Exactly. There is no physical proof that there ever was an Atlantis.

There's no question several civilizations have been lost in the mists of time. Some undoubtedly disappeared through natural events like earthquakes and floods. Does that mean Atlantis as described by the Greeks existed? Hardly. Could something Atlantis-esque have existed? Sure. The good doctor above has supplied us with plenty of ancient civilizations.

Outside the Pillars of Hercules? It's a long way, but Check.
Long way indeed.

i'll not live long enough to learn if this theory or others are in fact true or what they are now.....theories.
Hmm, why not? What's stopping us from (randomly) finding Atlantis?

I'd like to start of by thanking you so very much for sharing this with all of us. After reading the article, there is only one word that comes to my mind. The word is brilliant. The research and thoughts that went into this, I truly admire. At the end, I must say that I still do not know if Atlantis is real or a myth. What I do know is that you gave me food for thought. Thank you.
