Do you think they should stop editing out bad words in songs on the radio?

Well any five year old can turn on the radio and listen to the bad words / obscene content on the radio then start repeating it over and over again. Lol

Any five year old can go online and get the same thing too. And on tv. So I don't think it doesn't matter really as long as they keep it down.

Leave it as is. Most real artist shouldn't even have to use foul language in their songs, to be a success.. I don;t want my nephew walking around say.

I'm A Pimp,Your My B***h, You Ca suck my Sh**, Cause that's my trick

Haha just made that up even though some one woul'dnt make that harsh..

but NO leave it as it is..

Yeah I agree, it's lazy songwriting for the most part when you have to rely on excessive profanity.

It really interrupts the song though sometimes, even if they try to make it inconspicuous. Especially if it's a song you know well. Throws everything out of order. It's not like kids don't know how to swear, if you're going to censor the radio then how about TV, internet, other forms of media, and your goddamn billboards with naked women drinking vodka on them? You can't protect them all and you can't stop anyone. Why bother ruining it for the rest of the world.

I guess the presenters could try keeping it clean though. I did a radio course but, and it was a teen radio station, and they said, SWEAR AS MUCH AS YOU LIKE AS LONG AS IT'S AFTER 9 PM AND WARN YOUR LISTENERS IF THE SONG IS QUESTIONABLE. Done.

I think they should come up with like a package thing for mature people. Like you pay this much for all stations to be unedited.

If you want that then you go pay for Satellite Radio such as Sirius XM for example. You pay 15 dollars a month for high quality uncensored radio. They play music for all genres as well as talk radio if you are into that along with the news such as CNN for example.

The price to start up is expensive( a few hundred dollars) but the month to month charge is quite low and also definitely worth it.

Anyone know the tune Good God by Korn?

When I was young and naive, I purchased the radio edit of that song. It was cheap and when I listened to it, I fully understood why

If it's past a certain time like, lets say 10pm or 11pm than cussing on the TV and the radio should be okay since the young-ens should be in bed, no?

Thats a good idea.. They should do that!

I know they do that on TV..

We used to have a kids' station that played more mature stuff, but instead of saying the swear word, they would say something else, depending on how that word was originally used. Actually, it was edited no matter what. For example, instead of saying S-H-- and then the word, it would be turned into stuff. Again, it really depended on how the word was used. I miss that station, we have Kidz Only now and they don't replace words, they're just censored some how, but on Radio Disney the word was actually replaced with a more appropriate word.

I'm not to sure why society ever deemed the words 'fuck' 'shit' and 'bitch' as foul words.

I mean 'fuck' originated meaning fornification under the consent of the king, or that the lord over a group of people in a fuedal system would give permission to marry and thereby consent to consumate that marriage.

'shit' originated on ships and was used to refer to the feces of different animals that was stored high up on the ship so as not to cause the lower decks to reek. The feces were dubbed 'ship high in transit.'

And bitch? I don't even know who turned that into a foul word, its like making the word for a female deer a doe a foul word. Who knows

Of course then there are words like the 'N' word which in my opinion should definately be censored on the radio and tv and stuff. I'm not sure why some artists use this word so much.

Yes they should stop editing out the words it makes the song sound like it is messing up in some cases.
