Baseball

Baseball is boooring. I never liked playing it either.

Baseball is pretty boring. You know a sport is dull, when they have a 7th inning stretch.

Baseball used to be my favorite sport until a few years ago, and now I have a lot of trouble watching a full game. My favorite team is the Red Sox (Boston).

Took my daughter to a minor league baseball game today because I won some free tickets recently.

She's never even been to a baseball game before so it was nice to go do something new. After I explained the game to her a bit during the 1st few innings, she got more into it. The crowd was pretty enthusiastic & she liked being able to cheer and scream with the rest of them even though I know she didnt know exactly what she was cheering about. Lol

She got cold though after the sun went down and I gave her my shirt, leaving me in my thin white undershirt, freezing my ass off, but I'd rather be cold than her be cold.

Very boring to watch but a lot of fun to play.

I don't mind going to a game, but it's good to have on TV when I've got other things going on.

As far as the boring factor....

Back when the world was young and I was covering local sports for a radio station and an online outlet I took a stopwatch to a minor league game and timed the elapsed time of when the ball was actually in play during a game.

You know, Here's the pitch, it's a ground ball to the second baseman, good catch on the run by Smith, and the throw to first where Jones tags the runner out. A total of maybe seven seconds.

The entire nine inning game was about fifteen minutes of action when the ball was moving. Game time, just short of three hours.

Boring?

Yeah.
