Electronic Arts and developer DICE will reveal the next game in the Battlefield franchise on June 9, the publisher announced Tuesday. This year’s Battlefield will be unveiled next Wednesday — at the conclusion of a countdown that starts at 10 a.m. EDT/7 a.m. PDT. Exactly when the game will be revealed is unclear.

EA has revealed little about the direction of this year’s Battlefield entry, colloquially referred to as Battlefield 6, but it may just bear the name Battlefield. Oskar Gabrielson, general manager at DICE, has called the sequel “a bold step” for the franchise.

This looks great, I just hope its as good as the other games in the franchise. I find they all have the same mechanics and need something more fresh and current.

BF1 was very good and rather play that than the others, BF3 was crap and BF4 was not much good. BF2 was very good. What's BF6 got to offer this time, and based on.

BF3 was crap

Say what now? BF3 was the least broken of the newer BF games. The maps were fresh and engaging and the vehicles made it enjoyable. Don't get me wrong, BF1 was fun with the super vehicles (blimp, tank, etc); but, it had flaws. I've been enjoying the build mechanics on BF5 and would love to see more of the defenses introduced with the new game.
