What is the Best Book Series you've read?

The Boxcar Children were my all time favorite. Realistic mysteries that could actually happen.

Maybe a bit exaggerated, but you still could relate to them.

Gag--the boxcar children? Puleeze.......

I guess my favorite series is the Nero Wolfe Mysteries. Very good.

Harry Potter series. Started reading them when I was like...6, 7 or something. Still love them now. Also Tamora Pierce writes a lot of books in series, I love them because they're so creative and easy to read. Don't read many series now, because I can never find every book, and I just don't have the time to follow through a story. I like to read in one long, uninterrupted burst, otherwise I forget what happened in the story.

And the Series of Unfortunate Events. These books are all connected so cleverly, they are definitely not kiddy books. There are just all these details, all this knowledge, all this sadness, all this mystery. They're just amazing.

I'm not a series person, I normally dislike book sequels.

I guess it all depends on whether I liked the first book or not. Now that Michael Crichton is dead and there won't be any new books out by him, I have been looking for other authors with suspenseful stories, and came across Lee Child's latest book called 'Gone Tomorrow'. I read the synopsis, liked it, bought it, and read it in a couple of days. Great book, great story.

It was the latest in the Jack Reacher series.

I so loved the story, that I went out and bought all his other Jack Reacher novels, and never regreted reading one.

His next novel (called: 61 hours) will be out in March 2010. Can't wait!
