Anyway, it is the end of the year. Time for my annual renewal of my internet security software. I currently have AVG, and to be honest have not been totally happy with it. Is there anything better out there?
Anny suggestions? I have about a week or two left in my current subscription.

I currently use Avast and works great.

AVG seems to be one of the better ones.

I've got McAfee on my other machine, and, really, both have their good points and both miss stuff.

The one main kick I've got with AVG is that it seems like the thing is constantly updating.

I use AVG. Always have and hopefully always will.

Avast is free, & I enjoy it~ I'd definitely recommend that one if you're not looking to spend money.

Are the paid one's any better?

AVG seems the most trusted. I've used AVG since nearly 7 years and.apart from the pop-ups it's great.

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, best that can be used for Windows.

If you're willing to pay, then Malwaerebytes Pro is probably your best bet. However, Avast or MSE (both free) are just as good.

Same here. I've been using Avast for years. It's free and I've never had any problems.

And the best thing is, that it's also available for Android devices too.

Interesting and I didn't know that.

I use the Comodo Security Premium. It's pretty great. Comes with its own firewall and anti virus and does maintenance to your computer. Check it out some time.

Eww McAfee.. One of the worst AV's out there, If you're still using i suggest you to change to an ohter AV. Not sure if you're looking for a paid Antivirus or free Antivirus.

MSE has a very bad detection rate compared to the others Av's out there, I strongly suggest that if anyone else using this antivirus. Change it now.

Malwarebytes isn't an Antivirus program, but an Antimalware program, There are big differences between Antivirus's and Antimalware's programs such as Malwarebytes.

AVG is also a bad antivirus program, Here is the following reasons why:

1. Can't remove one of the most of the persistent viruses out there.

2. Tries to install the AVG Secure Search Toolbar and tries hijacks your browser web page on the installer.

So anyone out there reading this post, I would suggest you to stay away from these antivirus programs.

1. Microsoft Security Essentials

2. Norton

3. McAfee

4. AVG

I am using Bitdefender.

I love it it's rated pretty high and I have never had a problem with it ever. I have been using this for 2 years now and I love it.

I heard that it is an ok AV to use, but sometimes buggy, But It also scores well on the detection rate as well.

I have never had issues with it. The only time it was buggy was on older systems. Other then that it seems fine to me. The newer version (2015) seem to be just fine. If I come across issues I will be sure to post about them.

I've got McAfee as my internet security advisor.
