Please specify your state/country in your reply.

Now, that was awesome and very informative. Thank you for taking the time to post all of that! :clap:

West Virginia/USA.
I suppose it's the coal mines that people think of first when they think of WV, but there is also the stereotype side of things and people think we are barefoot, backwoods, toothless, inbred hicks with shotguns.

Things people should know about Michigan are its wonderful western coastline with great beaches backing up to cliffs; The Sleeping Bear dunes; Traverse City has a really great cherry festival every year when it's harvest time; Faygo soda comes from Michigan; Kellogg's cereals are made here; Better Maid chips home is also here in Michigan.

We have the longest coastline of any other state; we are the only state in the country with a peninsula; there are hundreds of beautiful lighthouses to see and the farm country here is serene and vast. We have a very large whitetail deer herd with deer in every single county in the state; we have more lakes than Minnesota," the land of 10,000 lakes" with the best fishing anywhere.
That seems like a fun and relaxing vacation :p

Alabama is known as the "Heart of Dixie" and it is a cotton growing place :lol: Interesting right? When I think about Alabama I instantly think about Alabama University football! I love, love love, bama football

United States / Florida (;

where do i start? :lol:

when i was a kid, people called florida the state for the newly wed and nearly dead.
Haha that's true :lol:

one thing that doesn't get a whole lot of press about florida is all of the foreign plant and animal species that have taken hold down there and how screwed up the ecology is because of it.

Aside from the obvious places in Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, we're known for our Amish population in between. There's also the Gettysburg Battlefield, Three Mile Island, and Hershey, PA (the place that makes your Hershey's Chocolate, Kit Kat, and Reese's Peanut Butter Cups).

We can tell whether you're a true native by the way you pronounce Lancaster. People like Jeff Koons and Taylor Swift grew up in or around South Central PA where I was raised.

But, I definitely think most people come here for our education. Pennsylvania has a storied history of education with institutions like Penn State, UPenn, Carnegie Mellon, Villanova, Franklin and Marshall, Shippensburg, etc. Education IS politics here. We spend a lot on education and we take it very seriously.
