What is a film/movie that is better than the the book it is based on and why?

Why? Because reading a book was boring, and watching the movie was actually interesting to me.

Blood and Chocolate - the girl in the movie seemed less stuck-up than the book her.

....also the movie is better because 100% of the time I have never read the book, so I have nothing to compare it to.

Lmaooo based. But there are certain exceptions, like if you watch a movie and it's terribly bad, you do wonder if they simply adapted it wrongly.

I've never wondered that, I just thought the movie sucked and left it at that.
