What are your thoughts?

Ukraine has received significant support from the outgoing President of the United States. Joe Biden has authorised the use of American long-range weapons on Russian territory. This comes in response to North Korea's involvement in the conflict.

This means that Ukrainians can target strategic locations within Russia using American missiles. Joe Biden's decision could impact the trajectory of military operations. This is especially crucial at a time when the Ukrainian army is experiencing difficulties on the frontline.

If this had happened months ago when Ukraine first started getting the ATACMS missiles, this would be bold.

Now, it seems more like an attempt to ratfuck Trump by forcing him to continue supplying them instead of trying to negotiate a settlement between Ukraine and Russia.

Honestly? This war has been a stalemate for so long that I had even forgotten it was still going.

I doubt this changes anything, but I suspect the main reason behind the move is to force the new government's hand one way or another. Pretty dickish, actually.
