GameStop announced today Activisionâs newest shooter is tracking ahead of last yearâs Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, which has since gone on to sell over 20 million copies worldwide.
âGameStop is tracking to all-time, record reservations on Call of Duty: Black Ops,â said GameStop SVP of merchandising Bob McKenzie. âWe are ahead of where we were with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 last year, which previously set the industry standard.â
Those who pre-order Black Ops at GameStop, whether in-store or online, can enter the companyâs âSurprize Attackâ sweepstakes. A code printed on the receipt can be entered on the official contest website to win one of several prizes, including a Jeep Wrangler.
