Blind Date?

Have you ever been on one before? My friend really wants me to meet a guy. I haven’t dated in a long time and for the most part I consider myself asexual. But I’m starting to feel like I want a companion. Advice?

My mother and this old guy I knew used to set me up on dates with women I had never met before. It was a waste of my time because they were not people I was attracted to.

If it doesn't work out for you. I would suggest trying out Tinder or Plenty of Fish. It made things a lot easier for me.

I haven't, but not because I'm opposed to it, and it doesn't sound terrible, I've just always ended up meeting someone in public or got to know them online before the date.

Do you trust your friend's tastes? Do they know you well enough to tell if it's potentially a good match? If so then maybe it wouldn't hurt to give it a try, but if you want to feel more comfortable about it I think it would be helpful to see if your friend could tell ya a little bit about him if they haven't.

Never. Only a couple of relationships, neither good but neither blind dates.

Never been on a blind date and, to be honest, if someone were setting me up with someone I did not already know, I'd push for something casual like coffee or lunch or something before a serious date happened. But I'm not on the market right now so not really an issue I am likely to deal with.
