If you spot two monkeys running around on your local high street don’t panic, you’re not necessarily imagining things.

A pair of lion-tailed macaques escaped from Belfast Zoo yesterday and are still on the run.

They’re likely to be closely followed by zoo keepers armed with nets so that should give you a clue as to whether it’s just an illusion.

Bonnie and Clyde, as there are known, were last seen yesterday afternoon, close to the zoo.

They’re not usually dangerous but you should probably stay clear of them.
