Bottled Water

I have well water here and have it tested every year. This year it tested high for bacteria due to heavy snow melt getting into the well. I always use bottled water and have found a natural stream where everyone goes to refill their used bottles. That natural stream is tested by the State and has a safe for drinking sign along with the results hanging for the public. While it's a pain to have to drive to fill the bottles, at least it's free.

^ I have one of these. Costs $1.25 at the grocery store to fill it up.

I drink bottled water everyday as they have it at work in the freezer (free to anyone). I try to save my bottles so I can recycle them or throw them in the recycling there at work.. Although I do throw them away sometimes when I am in a hurry... bad Nebulous.

we have a well at home too, and our water at home has iron in it. so it doesn't taste good, and it gives you diarrhea (I think I spelled that right) really bad. so we just buy bottled water. but when I'm in town I just drink normal water.

I don't really care if it's healthier though I do prefer bottled water to tap water... it's generally colder and just better in general. lol

Drink tap water and then drink bottled water. Tap usually tastes nasty, at least around here it does, and bottled is a lot better. It may not be healthier, but I'd rather be drinking something that tastes right than something that's sick.

Strangely enough, where I live, tap water tastes a lot better in the winter than it does during the summer. I think it has something to do with the weather pattern around here. I don't know, my step-dad explained that to me once, but I can't remember what he said. It was something to do with when it gets colder, than the pipes get colder, therefore the water gets colder. But then when it starts warming up, then the water isn't as cold. I like bottled water anyways. It's reusable, so you can just fill it up when it gets empty, and you can put it in the fridge to keep it cold as well.

Based on the respones I'm seeing I'm pretty lucky to have great tasting tap water year round.

I think it depends on where you live, really.

I think it's bad, all it does is waste plastic.

Bottled water is a waste of money. You're paying a lot of money for something that comes a lot cheaper, and in greater quanitites. None for me, I fill my water bottle straight from the tap.
