If a child is caught bullying another child in school, what would be an appropriate and effective punishment?

Should schools be harsher (than they already are) on children who bully others?

- I think the child that is bullying the other child should go to ISS (In School Suspension) & his parents should be called, & if it continues after that child should be kicked out of school and taken to court. That's actually a law here in Georgia that if someone is getting bullied you can go to jail.

-Yes I really believe they should be harsher because children even teenagers are committing suicide because they are being bullied at school & nothing is being done about until somebody kills them self and everybody hears about it on the news. And bullying also just don't take place at school. It takes place at public parks ect..

Schools should have a zero policy on bullying and many already do. Whatever corrective action deemed necessary by the school to deal with bullies should be applied.
Back in my day the kids themselves had ways to deal with the school yard bullies. It worked rather well back then but i guess it wouldn't work too much today.
