Burning flags?

I am sure you've all seen protests and riots where some angry people burn the flag of their country or another country.

Some see this as extremely disrespectful or even treason.

What are your thoughts on flag burning?

I don't see it as disrespectful. I see it as freedom of speech and often times agree with the practice. Sometimes people just need to light it up and let those symbols burn.

Its protected by our First Amendment and considering the attrocities commited under our flag both internationally and domestically, people should be glad that it is only a cheap piece of cloth made in China, that is being burned.

I think it shows immense restraint and I support anyone who does it.

Treason is what was done to the people that warranted them burning the flag.

It is weird having more allegiance to a piece of cloth, than to the people who built and keep your country afloat.

It is quite the spectacle when it happens, but in the end it is just a piece of cloth. If someone paid for a flag, they should be able to destroy their own property if thats what they want to do.

That irritates me too.. because those with this same thought also believe that trying to over throw the government (with help from duly elected officials and at least 2 SCOTUS justices) per a certain Kraken lawyer who mentioned parts of the 1/6 plan on a podcast.. also believe it was patriotic..

As it is, in any case it is usually the loud, insane voices among us that have gotten all the attention and as such, drown out the more sane voices among us. But they are not in the majority, they are just the loudest and the ones that get all the attention.. and by their own actions their numbers are dwindling.
