A cake maker in New Zealand has 'no regrets' after sending a cake to a customer in the shape of a poo along with the message, "Eat sh**!"

Emma McDonald, owner of Oh Cakes of Riverton in Southland, also posted a rant at the customer, Micaela Harris, on her Facebook page.

The cake was ordered for an engagement party but McDonald claimed Harris' instructions were not clear enough.

Harris wanted to pay with a $50 voucher that McDonald reduced to $30 to settle a previously unpaid bill.

Mrs McDonald's Facebook post said: "Your (sic) left with a $30 voucher and you want a cake still?? ok cool - give me some ideas?? oh wait you have none apart from wanting chocolate. I have a brilliant idea for your cake!!! - so here it is, your turd cake! Hope you learn your lesson."

An indignant McDonald said: "I have no regrets at all about what I did. I feel she got what she deserved."

But a shocked Harris family member told the New Zealand Herald: "The cake was for an engagement party and this woman is not remorseful at all, which is disappointing. It was wrapped up in a box, so it was done deliberately as a nasty surprise. It was a disgraceful thing to do."

Do you think Harris deserved this turd cake?

The cake shop owner/employee was being highly unprofessional and immature. Sounds like a recipe for lost business and a bad reputation.

All this cake maker had to do was get more specific instructions from this customer. These poor people must have been mortified to open the cake box at the engagement party. Very unprofessional, indeed and no need to act the way she did. I hope these people let a lot of other people know and this cake maker loses business.
