I know i can install two forums on one sql database, but can i say have mybb and phpbb both having the same users and content/threads? so in other words they update each other.

So when someone went to the link /forum they are presented with two options, mybb or phpbb.

You cannot have two softwares running off one database but you can have two separate forums (of the same software) running off the same database. All you need to do set up your config files on both forums to connect to the same database.

Ive done it before on an old forum. The domain to the forum was blocked at work so I created another forum in a different directory with a different domain name.
