It isn't just non-Anglophones who struggle with some of the words on this list, however.

Even LAMDA graduate Benedict Cumberbatch managed to butcher the word ‘penguin’ despite speaking cut-glass Received Pronunciation English.

Which words on the list, if any, do you have a problem pronouncing?

I've been known to trip over much easier words even when sober and paying attention to what I was saying.

But on the above topic, one of the things that came up during some studying I was doing awhile back was Phenomenology.

I think the best way to say that word, which is the science of the study of direct experience, is about half toasted on tequila.

Along the same lines... the word "Tequila" is a lot more fun to say than "Phenomenology", and it could amount to the same thing.

i have no problem what so ever with any of those :P

i fail to see how any one can struggle with 'edited'!!!!!!

I have a problem with correctly saying Worcestershire :blush

As called for in the prep areas and cooklines in the kitchens of ever major restaurant in the English speaking world:

"Hey, Bill, bring me the whore sauce."

I have a problem with correctly saying Worcestershire :blush
That's my first time seeing that word/name so I dunno how it's pronounced. Never heard it.

Thanks @beowulf ! But I'm deaf so, I still haven't heard it lol.

None of those words. "Entrepreneur" I can't get out for the life of me, so I simply say "business owner".

I'm surprised "aluminum" isn't on that list; many people stumble over that one.

sorry, i didnt know.....been looking for the word in ASL or BSL but cant find a 'translator' that will do it
That one would probably be fingerspelled and it's ok!
