Which type of floors do you prefer for your home and why? Carpet, wooden or tiled floors?

I prefer both wooden and tiled because their much easier to clean. For example, if your dog urinates on your carpet or something spills like juice it gets stink and looks ugly. Comparing to a wooden or tiled floor you can easily mop it up and it won't stink. I also think tiled floors are nice to have because you can sweep up the dust instead of vacuuming with all that noise. In addition, I enjoy having tiled/wooden floors because it looks more appealing/attracting. Even though the rent may go up a bit its very much worth it. My only concern about tiled floors is that my feet get dirty much faster than carpet floors which I don't mind but it gets annoying. So overall I would prefer tiled floors over all the others.

I live in a log home and all my flooring (with the exception of the tiled bathrooms) is oak wood. The wood floors have polyurethane which is a clear finish topcoat for wood that offers long-lasting protection on all your wood, finished and unfinished. Any liquid on the floors just beads up and I just have to wipe it with a clean cloth. I love the look of wood flooring and it's easy to clean using just a dust mop.

Stone's rather cold... but I do like it.

Jazzy's floor sounds nice too.

After having wooden flooring for the first time, I prefer carpet. XD

Carpet is a lot easier to clean, and I love vacuuming. Sweeping just isn't the same, especially with all the dog hair.
