Can you do maintenance on your own car? Or do you take it to a mechanic?

I don't have a car since I'm 14, but if I did, I would Google some things to help me, and if all else fails I'll go to a mechanic

I know nothing about cars so I would just get it fixed by someone else.

I take my vehicles to the dealership as they are covered under a warranty clause.

I dont know anything about cars. I usually buy throwaway cars which are cheap cars I get from an auction or police impound lot. I drive it until it has too many problems then I just sell to a wrecking yard and get another one.
