sort of.................when i started work at 17 he was in his 60's and planning on retiring...............during world war 2 he had been captured by the japanese and had to work on the burma railway (as in bridge over river kwai)....dont expect you young uns to have heard of the burma railway so try googling it............certainly affected him healthwise
