Several years ago I dated a Japanese girl.

I didn't have any problems with it, neither did my friends or family.

However, her Japanese friends, and especially her parents, did.

Several years ago, I was engaged to an Asian man. His mother made it perfectly clear that I was not welcome into the family. It got so bad that she threatened to 'disown' him. The pressure on both of us from his mother was the deciding factor to end the engagement.

While I am still single, I have moved on from that experience. It was sad and heartbreaking at the time but I believe things happen for a reason.

Well what is very common and i guess more accepted is western men that marry a girl from like the Philippines or Thailand. And for the Philippines they like the men give her family money so they have a better life. So they are actually used for the money altho i am sure most of the once who are like that will deny this thing.

I used to date a girl from Japan but only had 9 months with her (the time she stayed in my country: The Netherlands)
