Please read the post carefully if interested, it is pretty long I know but it really bears what have been in my heart for years.

Howdy everyone,

Since I was a kid, I have always been committed to help people in need, no matter they are young, old, rich, poor. I have a great desire to really spread happiness and joy among all people. I feel very guilty, when I am driving my air-conditioned car, listening to music and drinking cold fresh juice in one of the terribly sunny days in Egypt, to see a homeless man in a miser condition cornered at a sidewalk and nobody even gives him some water to drink. I rush to give him what I have in hand, and he keeps thanking me for ages. Okay maybe I made him happy and made myself feel less guilty but for how much? Minutes? For the instance he finishes the juice and the instance I see another homeless child looking for food in trash cans just 100 meters away from the latter man? I am tired of this shit. I am not the one who made them really suffer, still I feel committed towards them while those who really created misery for these people are living in fancy 3-story villas, driving luxury Mercedes cars and eating high quality imported food.

I discussed with lots of friends who share me the same commitment. We tried many times to create charity foundations to help these people find their daily basic needs such as food, shelter and water. We faced many obstacles that prevented us from doing anything to them. Financial problems, governmental interference (They want to monitor this charity strictly for what they claim "fighting terrorism" as they might think we are going to fund terrorist groups because we just want to do something good) Government didn't give us any permissions to build any foundations or even rent places to launch it from. They warned us from any activity not monitored by them. You might ask: "What is the problem with your government monitoring the foundation?" Well actually, something you might not know about Egyptian governments, they will definitely steal your money for their lavish interests. So what you collect as donations or what you give from your own money, will pour into government's fucking pockets. Pointless the process is.

Recently, the number of oppressed and poor increased and it is still increasing dramatically. The moment I am writing now, there are at least 10 to 20 persons starving and looking in trash cans for food, just in my neighbourhood which is considered to be a socially sophisticated place. So, what do you think about shacks and hellishly old houses in highly populated areas? 100 starving? 200? Well, the numbers are much more than that.

I can't stand it anymore. I decided that half of my salary will go to this people no matter if I am going to suffer the rest of the month. At least I am living in a good house, have internet, eat good food and sleep well. But if I really gave them half of the salary in form of money, it will mean nothing to them. I might help 10 or 20 people to get enough basic needs for a week, but I'd feel so unfair because I know the moment I will give one of these guys the money, dozens of other poor people will rush to me and I wouldn't be able to back them off, I need to really help them but if I did that, what they will get will be nothing, so it is wasted money.

I sat and talked with 4 faithful friends that are really good and passionate about helping people as well. We agreed upon an idea that I had in mind for a really long time. There are many homeless children in my neighbourhood who really are awesome. I talked with many of them before and they are very innocent and have a degree of self-pride and dignity that I never saw even in those who really are better off. An example: When traffic signs get red, cars stop and people pass. During that, homeless children rush to these cars and either ask for money or offer you something they sell like cleaning tissues or small water bottles. Many people sadly ignore these kids and act like they are not even here. The traffic goes green and those children go back to the sidewalk (And that continues all the day)

I always tend to help these children, especially in my place. One time, I stopped my car in a traffic and a 7 years old boy came knocked on my glass, I opened it, smiled to him and a little convo took place.

Me: Hey little boy, what is your name?
Him: (Smiling) Hamza.
Me: How old are you, Hamza?
Him: 7
Me: Do you have parents?
Him: Yes.
Me: Where are they?
Him: Father is dead and my mother is in hospital.
Me: (I know he is lying) Oh, that is sad. What is your hand?
Him: Cleaning Tissues, you want some?
Me: No thank you, but wait a second, take this money.
Him: I won't take money unless you take the tissues.
Me: (Exclaiming) I don't want it son, sell it to some one else.

Then I pushed the money into his pockets and was about to move with the car, he threw the tissues inside the car through the window! I looked back in the mirror and waved to him, he waved back to me. Such a little boy full of dignity! Since that time, I knew that these boys want to gain money to be able to buy food and stuff but not through the feeling that they are beggars. They want to work!

Finally, me and my friends agreed to share together and buy 10 desktop computers, bought them in a reserve flat my family owns and bring these little boys to use them. We are going to teach them how to use computers and really benefit from them. These guys want to learn something. I feel it. I feel the desire they have to work and learn. We are going to teach them everything we can and suitable for their ages (Those who are 16 won't be treated as those who are 7) Then when they are ready, we will donate what we can to send them to technical schools. We will pay all the fees needed for their enrollment. The reason we are going to teach them first is because technical schools in here do require some little experience before joining plus they are allergic to homeless children so teaching them first is a necessity. Wish me luck please and sorry for this long post, I really couldn't simplify more than that.

What a wonderful thing you're doing and best of luck to you!
