Agree. They are trying to get the crowd worked up and enthusiastic about the people playing the sports. Hence the names Cheer and Leader.

Agree. Cheerleading is not a sport. Im not saying you dont need to be athletic to do it, but nobody every goes to a cheerleading game. They go to a football game and the cheerleaders are there to support their team. There is no competion involved and they are doing what they are trained to do.

Nope. It's not a sport... unless it's competition cheerleading, then you could consider it a sport because they're actually competing. However, if it is just regular cheerleaders at a game, then no.

Like everyone else, I agree that Cheerleading is NOT a sport. Cheerleading competitions (as stated above) could maybe be considered as one, since they are competing.
