How do you feel about children using bad words?

I just heard the 3 year old neighbor girl tell my 6 year old daughter Fuck you

I was pretty shocked to hear a 3 year old say that. I ran out there and told her not to use that type of language and then went and told her mom. My daughter knows not to use bad language and always tells others to stop when she hears it.

That's terrible but children learn that from their parents. Some parents this 3 year old must have

I don't like hearing profanity from kids. They don't know what it means and it can get them in trouble. When they're older and know what they mean then fine, but not when they're kids.

When I was in school, there used to be a row of houses near the school feild. One day one of the kids from my school shouted fuck and a little kid heard it. The kid then went inside his house and repeated fuck to his father. He then came into our school and had a word with the headmistress and the kid that swore near the little childs house was put in detention.

This six year old told me to fuck off once XD I didn't start swearing until I was 8/9

I've grown up hearing bad language and I know a lot of little kids cuss and I'm just like O.o

I mean...I'm in high school and basically everyone cusses...I have a reputation of being the one that doesn't cuss...worst thing I say is slut or hoe. XD

I know my mom was talking about a time when she worked in the grocery store, and she was talking to a customer, and the customer's little boy said something like, What the h*ll or what the F*ck I can't remember exactly, but the kid swore, and the parents just looked downright shocked and embarrassed. Probably didn't even know their son knew words like that. The kid was 4 years old.

It's enough to make you wonder, that's for sure!

It's amazing what the world is turning into these days.

I don't like it... That being said, I don't like any swearing, mainly because I don't swear.

I swear but not around the kids. If I do then I put 50 cents in the swear jar on top of the fridge. Once it gets filled then we go to the store and the lil one gets a new toy. lol

She says Daddy! You said a bad word!!! Put the money in the jar!

It keeps me from doing it too often.. I cant afford it.

The parents need to go to parenting school.... if there is such a thing. Children that age should not be exposed to such language.

lol That's a really good idea. I don't cuss, but it's very annoying when people swear in almost every sentence. Reminds me of this Sponge Bob episode where they use sentence enhancers.

You cant escape children hearing the words.. Sometimes people say it on accident, its on TV or in the movies.. When you are out in public walking by people using the language.

What you can do is teach your children not to say them.. Nobody wants a foul mouthed little brat running around.

I agree. My cousin who's too little to know what's right and wrong went around calling people dodo head. I kept telling him that it's not nice and he shouldn't say it. He laughed and kept calling me dodo head. I figured out why he was saying dodo head, my other cousin, his brother, was saying dodo head all the time and he picked up from it. So.. I just told my aunt because you don't want a little kid going around calling people dodo heads. That'll look real great in day care. He doesn't say it anymore, but I don't watch him much anymore.

dodo head is pretty tame compared to other words he could be using.

I think it's absurd that that's happening. In general, I think kids are exposed to things way too fast too early on. If you have children only 5 or 6 years old using profanity and knowing a fair amount about sex, that's just wrong, imo. It mirrors a change in society, but I think it's just way too much so young. It's a disturbing trend that I hope will stop.

I will swear occasionally, but I'm not the kind of person who will throw in swear words into every sentence for the sake of it. I'll swear if I'm angry, of course, but I don't like swearing. I can't stand hearing the c word (the bad c word, the c-u word). Some kid insulted someone else with it today and school, and it makes me mad when I hear things like that.

I know someone in a primary school close to my High School calling me a wanker once
