It's made marked and consistent improvement with each alpha, which I think demonstrates they are on a great trajectory.
I have only played a few dozen hours so I can't say for certain, but it looks like it will lean a bit more towards twitch/action than the strategic chess match that Chiv 1 became (at higher skill levels). I think this might alienate some of the hardcore vets of CMW and Mordhau, but will likely make the game more accessible/popular with a broader audience.

Missed the open beta that they ran on consoles earlier, unfortunately. Well, I say missed but I was just too lazy to download it. I did watch a few videos on the game and it honestly looks really fun. I would love to try it at some point when the price drops down a bit.
