Chocolate Milk Explosion!

Well a couple weeks ago I put some chocolate milk in a plastic water bottle for my daughter. Apparently she didnt finish it and it rolled under the front seat (from the back).... So today I go to work for 4 hours... Then I get in my car at lunch and the whole car smells foul.. Then I look at my radio and area around that, dash, front window, roof, and all over the floor of the passenger side and I see this brown stuff everywhere. It took me a while to figure out what the hell happened but I found the bottle and put two and two together. Once everyone leaves here I am going to spend my last break scrubbing the hell out of my car.

Yeah I never knew chocolate milk would do that.. Must be something in the milk down there that is explosive (got it from my dad's house, he lives 100 miles away)..

You dont know how bad the stench is in there. I had to roll down all the windows and try not to look at everything while driving just now.

Milk will ferment which causes expansion, and finally if the pressure isn't relieved--you get explosion. And there is nothing worse than sour milk.......yuk!

Oh yeah it was sooooooo bad. Reminds me of that episode of Seinfeld where Jerry's car caught the B.O. from the valet (the guy who parks the cars at the restaurant) then it started ruining everyones lives.

Anyways I got all my work done really fast and spent the last hour scrubbing the hell out of everything in my car. After words I went to wal mart and bought a couple bottles of Febreze, one of those air fresheners in a can and one that you hang from your mirror. I sprayed the entire contents of one Febreze bottle all over the inside of the car.. Opened the can air freshener and hung the other air freshener. I did all that and shut the doors. If it still stinks tomorrow (which I doubt) I still have that other bottle of Febreze.

Well you dont want it to happen. I wouldnt wish it on my worst enemy.

Anyways the smell did come out somewhat. It smells like a mix of funk and nice smelling stuff. I think I will empty the other bottle of frebreze into it when I get home tonight.

Wholy crap! That really sucks! Plus chocolate milk is really hard to get out of carpet, wish you luck. It sucks you're stuck spending your break cleaning your car from gross chocolate milk moldy smell.
