With Christmas around the corner i though to talk about what is the sweets you like to eat more for the festive season.

Eggnog cheesecake. SO good.

My mother went kind of nuts with the holidays. First came Christmas cake (fruitcake) since it had to age. Then cookies, both for us and the cookie exchange at the church. Then squares closer to the day for entertaining and Christmas dinner. And finally, usually at least one fancy dessert for dinner, though my uncle sometimes provided that (he was a pastry chef at a private club).

But these days, between my diabetes and my wife not baking, it is down to whatever is brought for Christmas dinner, usually something from my uncle (he is retired but still does a lot of their cooking) and maybe cookies from my sister-in-law.

@Mendalla it is nice your mother did all that

For me most times i do what everyone eat or want . When i was growing up my mother always will make Walnut cake for the holidays and other sweets but the walnut cake i liked the most to eat . I always wanted to have this as a tradition but for many reason best not to mention never did
