How do you deal with a chronic complainer?

one i used to lift share with going to work..............every day 30 minutes there and 30 minutes back i would listen to him whine on about everything.........i honestly used to get to work and feel depressed.............it got to me so much that after a while when the weather got nice i started to use my bike for work just so i didnt have to give him a lift..........and when it got to autumn i siad i didnt want to share again



the other is my ex-mother in law..............if she isnt complaining she has nothing to say

............always something wrong with her (hypochondria ia the only thing she dosnt suffer with

).....always moaning about the neighbours (but will not say anything to them)...always moaning about money yet shes better off than most (certainly me and the ex at the time)...........always thought that everyone owed her a favour



glad i dont have anything to do with either of them.............im a happier person for it

Yeah you can't ban people in real life.

Its just some people's nature I suppose. It doesnt bother me as long as they arent complaining about me. I usually try to relate what they are saying then come up with a suggestion to a solution to their problem.
