How often do you clean your computer/laptop? What do you use? How do you clean it?

First, I shut down my laptop. Then, I use this lent-free fabric cloth and lens cleaner to wipe down the screen. Next, I use a special cloth/fabric used to get the remaining dust off. After I've cleaned the screen, I clean the keyboard. I simply use another cloth with a tiny bit of dampness to it, and clean the individual keys while still attached to the keyboard. After the screen & keyboard are clean, I wipe down/disinfect the mouse. Finally, I clean the rest of the outside of the laptop. I just get the dust off and clean any smudges on the outside. In conclusion, I have one clean laptop!

I'm about to clean it, so I thought I'd get tips and see what everyone else does.

Use a special fabric (lent-free) & get it damp and wipe down the individual keys one at a time. Sure does take a while, but my keyboard is really clean now. After I wiped each key down and got the visible filth off, I used a vacuum and took the special suction tool to it on low and it got the remaining dust/junk down in there. If you're using a desktop, then I would buy a new keyboard.

However, a laptop is different and it would be much harder & more expensive to replace a laptop keyboard.

I have a laptop but I always use a portable keyboard and mouse so I don't need to clean the laptop or keyboard on the laptop often. Every so often I use something that I don't know the name of to clean the screen

Everything on my computer is black. Black shows dust and seems to attract it more. So I just wipe off the dust once in a while.. I once In a while I will put some windex on my monitor..

I sort of...run it over with a vacuum cleaner. But yeah. I'd sooner buy a new one. They usually fall apart from my abuse before they need a proper clean anyway.

I use a duster and polish once it has been switched off.

I have these electronic wipes that I use on my screen and keyboard. They work great!

I would love to buy a new keyboard but that isn't in the budget and it won't be for some time yet. We are pinching pennies here.

As soon as my disability checks start coming in we should be fine and I'll buy a new one then.

I popped the keys off--a few at a time, and then turned it upside down--shook out the crumbs, then followed it up with q-tips to get rid of the dust and dirt.
