I live in the Capitol of New York, Upstate NY, Albany. Well, 15 minutes South of Albany. I am going to start posting daily news from around my Capital Region. If you see the News 10 at the beginning of the article, it is areas around the Capital Region.

COHOES, N.Y. (NEWS10)– Police arrested a Cohoes man and woman for possessing crack cocaine on Thursday. Shakema Tune, 43, and James Austin, 44, were arrested after an executed search warrant for an apartment at 85 Mohawk Street in Cohoes.

Police said they found 6.2 ounces of crack cocaine wrapped in 17 individual bags and a scale in the apartment. Both face charges of third and fourth-degree criminal possession of a narcotic drug.

Austin was charged with has been convicted twice out of three violent felony convictions and is on parole with an ankle monitor for second-degree burglary.

Well, there's no shortage of drug heads in the USA. We're always going to have this problem.

Yeah, well, this drug head was already on parole.
I'm not surprised. A lot of them reoffend. I think addiction is sometimes a psychological need more than it is an addiction itself. I've heard former drug addicts say that they still get cravings even though they've been off of the dope for years.
