Cold / Flu

I have a cold (I think - maybe it's the flu). My nose is really sore as are my eyes. All I want to do is sleep. I don't think I'll be going to school tomorrow - which is a shame, I'll be letting one of my classes down.

Summer isn't the best time of year to get sick.

Being sick sucks. However I never miss work no matter how crappy I feel. Maybe if I needed to be hospitalized I would call in.

I don't want to infect the other students at school. It's better for one to miss out on a few hours of learning than have lots miss out on, collectively, days of learning.

Well school is different. I used to figure out any reason to miss school.

^ I agree, Having a day off, just laying in bed. Helps you and also you dont spread it around the work place... which you know will end up coming back to you at some point lol

I often get the cold although I'm kinda used to it now seeing as Northern Scottish weather sucks. I did get the flu once last year. I felt terrible

Anyone got any tips for getting over it without medication? Dad wants me to buy some pills, but I don't like taking them.



I heard drinking lots of water helps as it flushes it out of your system.

Well I took many rests. Mainly after school (Yeah I went to school with my flu
