In the last two weeks, I've watched the original Carrie movie and last night the remake was on.

Here are my thoughts:

The original Carrie character seemed really sweet and in need of love that she never got from her mom or schoolmates. One teacher cared enough to stick up for her but didn't she kill her in the end as well as the others? The original Carrie was curious about her powers.

The remake Carrie didn't come across as sweet, just odd. When she realized she had powers, it seemed as if she was more power hungry than the original Carrie. The prom scene was a lot more violent and gruesome (in my opinion) and I just didn't feel as sorry for her as I did the original Carrie.

Thoughts?
