So I'm kinda considering going on a diet. After recently learning I've hit 260. I kinda figure it might be a good idea.

Congrats on your wanting to get healthy. I should eat better myself.

Good for you and I wish you much success with this. Just remember diet and exercise go hand-in-hand when trying to lose weight. I hope you'll keep us updated as to your progress.

Thanks on that! And I will!

Well good luck with that...

Healthy food is always a good idea.

Yeah, and thanks!

Just a reminder....Hot Pockets are not on the list of healthy food!

Not really, haven't even really had a craving. Guess I need to give that a bit of time.

Have you started your diet yet? If so, what have you been eating?

That's a great idea! If you're overweight and wanting to lose some weight, dieting is definitely the way to go. However, as Jazzy mentioned, diet and exercise go hand in hand. I would suggest a moderate diet, but a more than moderate workout.

I'll be honest with you, dieting is temporary and that's why most say it doesn't last. Now, when I say a moderate diet, I mean eat healthier, but don't eat ONLY salad. That's not realistic and you'll end up giving up entirely once you get to a point where you crave good food so much you don't care about losing weight anymore. I lost around 10 pounds by eating a little bit healthier, but more importantly, I ate in smaller portions throughout the day to keep my metabolism going. Monday - Friday I fast walked for 45 minutes around the neighborhood.

I suggest you try to eat better but be realistic, and make sure you get plenty of exercise. You'll be in shape in no time!

Excellent advice MrJ!
