A coworker of mine was diagnosed with brain cancer. His survival chance is at 10%. It started with him getting headaches then all off the sudden he can't use the TV remote. Its scary how life can change in a split second. From living your life to having to fight for it.

I'm sorry to hear about your coworker!

Damn. That sucks big time. Life has a way of rewarding some people while completely screwing others over.

Now that I think about it, I've been prone to headaches ever since I can remember. I always try to keep some painkiller pills handy so I can take one as soon as I feel a headache developing. If I don't, I usually end up being completely unable to eat and drink anything due to extreme pain and a feeling of nausea that always comes with it. I hope I don't have a brain cancer, tumor, or anything like that.

I'm so sorry he's been dealt this unfair deal. While 10% is very grim, I hope he stays positive and tries to beat this low odd. Miracles can happen and it's going to take one in his case.

Could be you suffer from migraine headaches. If you're concerned about it being more than a migraine headache, it's always best to seek a professional opinion.

Well, my mother is a medical worker, so she already "diagnosed" my headaches as migraines. Still, doing an MRI brain scan wouldn't be a bad idea to eliminate (or confirm) the possibility of it being something more, I suppose. I'm not sure I really want to know if something is really there, though. There's a reason people say ignorance is a bliss.

If you are really worried, please go have an MRI!

If my headaches become more frequent and / or harder to endure, I might just do that. For now, I'm inclined to believe I'm suffering from migraines, since most of the symptoms Jazzy linked to fit perfectly. When my head starts to hurt, it's usually a pulsing pain accompanied by nausea that makes me wanna crawl into some dark corner away from all the lights and sounds. Vomiting tends to alleviate the pain a bit.

Gods my posts are slow! Yeah, I have friends that can get really bad migraines, they do sound like that.

I have many headaches. Though they stem from shoulder problems

Sorry to hear about your co-worker @Lizzy

Must be a very scary thing for him to go through.

I wouldn't know if I would label it denial or being optimistic, but he's thinking the doc will get it and he'll get an alls good from the doc and go back to work. Which would be great.. I just don't see it happening however. I really hope I'm wrong.
